BATON ROUGE — The Lady Tigers cruised to a 7-0 win over Southern on Tuesday in their last match before the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
The win was LSU’s seventh in a row and came on the same day they climbed to 19th in the national rankings.
The Lady Tigers (16-6, 6-5) won every singles set they played.
“Our girls did what they were supposed to do,” said LSU head coach Tony Minnis. “It was nice to get Bonnie (White) in.”
White and the other two seniors on LSU’s team, Rocio Fantilli and Jessica Ferguson, will be honored March 23 for Senior Day before LSU’s match against Tulane.
LSU leaves Wednesday for the SEC Tournament in Nashville and begins play at 8 a.m. Thursday against Arkansas.
