COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The LSU men’s tennis team managed just one loss for the second day in a row Saturday in the Texas A&M Tennis Fall Invitational.
“We played with really good intensity,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “It felt like a dual match, and you don’t usually get that feeling in the fall. Individually, in singles and doubles, we played really well.”
The Tigers faced opponents from the home team in a hidden dual match. LSU was 3-0 in doubles and 5-1 in singles Saturday. Friday’s matches produced almost the exact same results. The Tigers were 3-0 and 6-1 over Texas Christian.
Bryan Fisher earned the biggest win of the day in singles. Fisher beat A&M’s 99th-ranked Khaled El Dorry, 6-7(6), 7-5, 1-0(5). It was Fisher’s first singles win over a ranked opponent this fall.
The Tigers will wrap up the tournament and the fall season Sunday against Arizona.
