BATON ROUGE — Just four days before LSU’s season-opening contest against Louisiana-Monroe, Tiger offensive guard Stephen Peterman became a father as his wife Colleen gave birth to a boy at East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie.
The newest Peterman, Stephen Frederick, Jr., was born at 4:31 p.m. on Tuesday and weighed six pounds and 10 ounces at birth, some 318 pounds less than his father. Stephen Frederick, Jr., was measured at 20 inches long at birth.
Peterman, who is rated as the No. 1 offensive guard in college football by the Sporting News, is expected to be back at practice on Wednesday and he will start for the Tigers on Saturday night against Louisiana-Monroe.
