Hazley-Fisher Doubles Team Qualifies For NCAA's

Tigers’ Doubles Duo Falls to No. 1 Seed in NCAA First Round

ATHENS, Ga. — LSU’s 18th-ranked doubles team comprised of Bryan Fisher and Jason Hazley fell to the top-ranked tandem in the nation on Thursday as the Tiger duo fell to Rice’s combination of Richard and William Barker, 6-4, 6-2, here at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

With the victory, Rice’s top-seeded duo advanced to Friday’s Round of 16 where it will face off against North Carolina’s 17th-ranked pair of Trystan Meniane and Nicholos Monroe. Barker and Barker, identical twin brothers from Solihull, England, won their 33rd straight match and improved their overall record on the season to 36-1.

LSU’s Fisher and Hazley, who won the 2002 Southeastern Conference Indoor Doubles Championship, finished the season with a 22-11 overall record.
