TAMPA, Fla. — The LSU swimming and diving teams picked up a pair of non-conference wins on Monday as both the men and women defeated the University of Tampa and the University of Indianapolis at the University of Tampa Swimming Pool.
The LSU women defeated Tampa, 48-24, and Indianapolis, 48-24. The men beat Tampa, 44-27, and Indianapolis, 44-20. Both the men and women each won eight of 10 events in the meet and all events were held as relays.
“It is good to have two more wins under our belt for both the men and women before we head home for Christmas holidays,” said LSU head coach Jeff Cavana.
The men improved to 3-3 on the season while the women are now 4-3. LSU returns to action on Jan. 17 when the women will face Houston in Houston, Texas at 4 p.m.
