BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference announced today that three present and three former members of the LSU women’s golf team qualified for this year’s release of the SEC Academic All-SEC team for the sport of women’s golf.
In all there were 49 present and former players who qualified with a 3.20 average at the end of the summer 2001 semester.
Present players include senior Meredith Duncan (3.17 Kinesiology); senior Lindy Hitdlebaugh (3.00 Mass Communications); and, Erin Sarver (3.38 Kinesiology). The former players were Melissa Ballew (3.77 Psychology); Katy Harris (3.87 Information Systems Management); and, Lesley McClurg (4.00 Mass Communications).
Because of the way the Honor Roll is based now, also making it is present LSU women’s assistant coach Marci Kornegay, who was at Ole Miss last year (3.48 Leisure Management).
