SENIOR SEASON (2001-02)
Ended her collegiate career with the best single-season and career stroke average in LSU women’s golf history: 73.12 for 33 rounds in the 2001-02 season and 75.01 for 128 rounds in her four-year career … Captured three major amateur titles in a seven-week period in the summer prior to her senior season, including a nationally-televised win in the United States Women’s Amateur which she won with a tap-in birdie on the first hole of sudden death … In winning her three collegiate tournaments, Duncan fired an even par 216 (72-71-73) to win at Furman, a 4-over 214 (69-70-75) to capture the Florida tournament and a one-under 215 (69-75-71) to win the LSU/Cleveland Classic … One of Top 100 News Makers of 2001 as chosen by Golf World … Top Women’s Amateur Golfer of 2001 in Golf Week Rankings … Named to the Curtis Cup team which faced Great Britain and Ireland in August, 2002 … Will play in the United States Women’s Open in 2002 and attempt to defend her three amateur titles before preparing for LPGA Qualifying school … Finished with a 3-under 213 in the NCAA East Regionals at the University Club (68-72-73) to become just the second LSU women’s golfer to make four NCAA Championship appearances … Duncan had rounds of 73-75-71-73 (292, T19) … Best NCAA finish was in 2000 when she tied for 7th, playing the last in 4-under par after an opening round of 82 (82-72-70-72).

JUNIOR SEASON (2000-2001)
Posted the third best single season stroke average in school history of 74.42 with six top 10 finishes, giving her a total of 15 in her first three seasons, tied for seventh on the school list … Best finishes were ties for fourth at the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Championships (73-71-78 — 222) and LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic (75-71-70 — 216) … Other top 10 finishes: Auburn Tiger-Derby Invitational (74-76-73 — 223, tie for 5th); SunTrust Lady Gator (75-72-73 — 220, tie for 8th); Lady Gamecock Classic (72-73-78 — 223, tie for 6th); SEC Women’s Championship (71-72- 75 — 218, tie for 6th) … Had just four rounds over 77 … 95.45 percent of rounds counted for team score (31.5 of 33) …Three-year career stroke average of 76.66 ranked second all-time at LSU behind Katy Harris’ 75.48 entering Duncan’s senior season … Qualified for the United States Women’s Open … Started her summer run by winning the 101st Women’s Western Golf Association Amateur Championship for the second straight year, downing Candie Kung of Southern California on the first extra hole … To win had to defeat the Players of the Year in the ACC, Big Ten and the Pac Ten over the final three rounds … At the end of June, Duncan captured the 99th North-South Women’s Amateur at the famed Pinehurst No. 2 course in North Carolina … In the championship match, downed former Texas A&M golfer Mimi Epps, 6&5 … Took the U. S. Women’s Amateur crown in an exciting nationally-televised sudden death final, 1Up, over Nicole Perrot of Chile. Duncan’s tee shot on the par 3 10th hole stopped two feet from the hole and she tapped it in for the championship. That came moments after both Perrot and Duncan, with the match all square on the 36th hole, dropped in birdies on the par 5 18th … Compiled a 20-1 record in match play during the summer of 2001 in four tournaments … August 25 was declared, “Meredith Duncan Day” in the state of Louisiana by Governor Mike Foster … The Shreveport native has been named the Independence Bowl Foundation’s Sportsperson of the Year, becoming the first female recipient of the award, as well as the youngest in the Bowl’s history.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (1999-2000)
Finished the year as the top LSU golfer in stroke average at 75.32 for 34 rounds … Also led the team in top 10 finishes with eight, including at one time a string of six straight … Her stroke average improved over two strokes from her freshman season … She ranked fifth in the SEC in stroke average and 16th in the nation in the MasterCard/College Golf Foundation rankings … Best round was two-under par 70 on two occasions — in the first round of the Golf World/Palmetto Dunes in November and in the third round of the NCAA Championships in May … Had just two rounds higher than 78 … 96 percent of rounds counted for team score … Finished seventh in the NCAA Championships, rallying from 116th spot after a first round 82 … Followed it with rounds of 72-70-72, playing the last 38 holes in four-under par … Other top 10s were: Lady Buckeye Fall Invitational (77-77-74 — 228; 8th); Golf World/Palmetto Dunes (70-76- 73 — 219; t6th); Sun Trust Lady Gator (77-75-74 — 226; 10th); Lady Gamecock Invitational (80- 75-75 — 230; t9th); Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic (76-72-73 — 221; t6); LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic (76-78-77 — 231; t2nd); SEC Women’s Championships (78-77-74 — 229; t9) … Won the Western Amateur golf championship in Illinois in the summer, defeating Jennifer Patterson, 6 and 5, in the 36-hole championship match … Represented LSU and the United States on the five-player American team which participated in the World Student Golf Championships at the Ulster Golf Course … The U.S. as a team finished second and Duncan took home fourth in the individual competition with a seven-over par score for 72 holes … Qualified for a second straight United States Women’s Amateur in August in Oregon … Won two matches, including a 3 & 2 decision over medalist Leigh Anne Hardin, before losing to Jimin Kang, 1Up

FRESHMAN SEASON (1998-99)
Fourth on the team in stroke average at 77.53, 20th best in the Southeastern Conference … Ranked 79th in the country in the Sagarin rankings … Had her first collegiate top 10 in the Lady Gamecock Classic where she tied for 10th with rounds of 77-73 — 150 … Had two other top 20 finishes … Duncan was 17th at the LSU-Fairwood Invitational (80-78 — 158) and tied for 14th at the SEC Championships (77-74-80 — 231) … Was LSU’s top finisher in the NCAA Division I Championships, finishing 24th at 229 with rounds of 75-77-77 … 73 in Lady Gamecock was low round of year … Second on team with 90 percent of her rounds counting on the team score (23.5 of 26) … Qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur by shooting a 73 in qualifying in Houston … Qualified for match play in the Women’s Trans-National in Edmond, Okla., in July, advancing to the second round … Advanced to the quarterfinals of the 1999 Western Amateur.
