BATON ROUGE — The LSU soccer team swept its three matches at the 2002 GSA Spring Classic held on Saturday at the LSU Soccer Complex.
LSU defeated Fort Collins (Colo.), 3-0, before taking back-to-back 1-0 victories over Christian Brothers University of Memphis, Tenn., and St. Louis University of St. Louis, Mo.
Junior-to-be Mandy Heintz had three goals to lead the Tigers in scoring, while redshirt-sophomore-to-be Robyn Desormeaux was credited with all three shutout victories in goal for LSU.
Entering his third season at LSU, head coach George Fotopoulos‘ squad returns to action in late August or early September for the 2002 regular season.
