Ten Road Baseball Games to Be Televised Live in 2002

BATON ROUGE — Ten LSU baseball games will be televised live during the 2002 regular season. The Jumbo Sports Network, established by former LSU pitcher Ronnie Rantz, will televise eight games, beginning with the Tigers’ contest at Houston on Sunday, February 24 at 1 p.m.

JSN, which includes affiliates throughout Louisiana and the southeastern United States, will also carry the March 19 game at UL-Lafayette; the March 24 game at Ole Miss; the April 7 game at Auburn; the April 9 game at Tulane; the April 21 game at South Carolina; the May 5 game at Tennessee; and the May 12 game at Florida.

The JSN affiliates in Louisiana include WGMB (Fox 44), WBBR (WB 10) and WVLA (NBC 33) in Baton Rouge; WNOL (WB) in New Orleans; KWBJ (WB) in Morgan City; KNTZ (Fox) in Alexandria; Cable Lake 8 in Lake Charles; KLAF (UPN) in Lafayette; and KPXJ (PAX) in Shreveport. The JSN games can also be seen on the Comcast Sports Southeast affiliates in Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.

In addition to the JSN games, the first two games of the LSU-Tennessee series will be televised on a regional basis. The May 3 encounter at Tennessee will be televised by Comcast Sports Southeast, and the Tigers-Vols game on May 4 will be televised by Fox Sports Net South.
