BATON ROUGE — LSU wide receiver Blain Bech and linebacker Lionel Turner have been declared ineligible for the Sugar Bowl, coach Nick Saban announced on Saturday.
Bech and Turner were ruled ineligible to play in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 for academic reasons, Saban said.
Bech, a sophomore from Slidell, served as the holder on field goals and PATs in all 12 games this year. Turner saw action in 11 games for the Tigers and finished with seven tackles, including a season high of three against Florida.
