BATON ROUGE — The three-time defending Southeastern Conference Champion LSU softball team dominated the LSU Fall Collegiate Classic at Tiger Park in Baton Rouge over the past weekend.
“I was completely satisfied with the performance for the weekend,” said head coach Yvette Girouard. “The pitching was completely dominating. We saw some bright new faces on the mound alongside senior Britni Sneed.
“There was only one error this weekend and the defense was flawless. I think the new players are adjusting well. The Fall is all about learning, and I think we are learning a lot. I think there is going to be a very exciting team to watch in the spring.”
The Tigers won all five of their games, outscoring opponents 41-0. LSU faced Okaloosa-Walton Community College first and defeated them 8-0. The Tigers came away with a 6-0 victory over in-state opponent Southeastern Louisiana and finished up Saturday with a 10-0 win over Bossier Parish Community College.
