ATLANTA — After arriving on the evening of Dec. 24, the Tigers enjoyed Christmas in Atlanta after a two-hour practice. On Tuesday, the Tigers return to the practice field and continue to enjoy pre-bowl festivities throughout the day.
After an 8:30 a.m. EST breakfast, the Tigers head to meetings at 9:15 and then over to the friendly confines to the Georgia Dome at 10:15 for another two-hour practice.
Head coach Nick Saban, along with seniors Fred Booker and Louis Williams, will take part in a press conference at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce at 1:45 p.m.
After practice, the team returns to its host hotel, the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, to prepare for the Official Team Welcome Kickoff Party at Atlanta’s ESPN Zone at 3:15 p.m.
Later in the evening, team members and staff will head to Phillips Arena to watch an NHL hockey game between the Atlanta Thrashers and the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:30 p.m. Coach Saban and Georgia Tech head coach George O’Leary are slated to drop the puck before the game.
Weather conditions in Atlanta are partly cloudy with little change of rain. Highs in the mid-40s and lows in the low 30s.
LSU (7-4) takes on Georgia Tech (9-2) in the 2000 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 29 at 4 p.m. CST in the Georgia Dome.
