SEATTLE — Basketball Travelers officials announced first-round match-ups for the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands, which will play host to four top 25 teams, on Tuesday.
The LSU Lady Tigers, ranked seventh in the nation, will square off with No. 21 Southwest Missouri State on Friday, Nov. 24 at 8:30 p.m. No. 13 Penn State will face No. 16 Texas Tech in the tournament’s opening match at 6 p.m.
The consolation and championship games are slated for Saturday, Nov. 25, at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively.
LSU, who defeated Spartak Moscow, 81-42, in an exhibition game Monday afternoon, opens the season on Friday, Nov. 10 in the Women’s Sports Foundation Classic in Albuquerque, N.M., against New Mexico.
