BATON ROUGE — The LSU marketing department, along with Winn-Dixie, Coca-Cola and Guaranty Broadcasting, have announced the “Purple” and “Gold” special events for the fall of 2000.
“Purple Events” will be held throughout each women’s sports season. Fans will have the opportunity to pick up complimentary tickets at any Baton Rouge area Winn-Dixie locations.
During each “Purple Event,” fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win prizes courtesy of Winn-Dixie, Coca-Cola and Guaranty Broadcasting. A radio remote broadcast will be held at a selected Winn-Dixie location during the week of each “Purple Event.” LSU coaches will be present to hand out free tickets at all radio remotes.
At “Gold Events,” fans can pick up 2-for-1 admission coupons to any non-Purple Events at Baton Rouge area Winn-Dixies.
Here is a list of the “Purple Events” that have been scheduled:
- Friday, Oct. 6, 2000: Volleyball vs. Kentucky, 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000: Soccer vs. Auburn, 1 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000: Soccer vs. Tulane, 7 p.m.
- Fri., Nov. 3, 2000: Volleyball vs. Alabama, 7 p.m.
