BATON ROUGE — After the all-LSU title match was postponed and moved to Baton Rouge, freshman Bryan Fisher and junior Jesse Smatt won the doubles title of the 2000 Seminole Classic when teammate Dan Kiernan and freshman Sebastian Rutka were forced to retire at 2-0 in the pro set.
Kiernan was suffering through illness throughout the tournament in Tallahassee this past weekend, causing him to lose in the first round of the singles “A” flight.
The Tigers return to action on Friday in New Orleans at the Tulane Invitational.
