BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — First year head coach Nick Saban along with seniors Fred Booker and Louis Williams travel to Birmingham Tuesday to open the three-day Southeastern Conference Football Media Day, “Kickoff 2000.”

Saban, Booker and Williams will depart from Baton Rouge at noon and address the media from around the league at 3 p.m.

On Wednesday, Auburn’s Tommy Tuberville, Florida’s Steve Spurrier, Ole Miss’ David Cutcliffe and Vanderbilt’s Woody Woodenhoffer will address the media from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Thursday’s schedule concludes “Kickoff 2000” with Alabama’s Mike DuBose, Kentucky’s Hal Mumme, Mississippi State’s Jackie Sherrill and Tennessee’s Phillip Fulmer from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

LSU opens it’s 2000 football season on Sept. 2 against Western Carolina at 7 p.m. in the newly-expanded Tiger Stadium. With the addition of more than 11,000 seats in a new East Side Upper Deck, the stadium will become the fourth-largest on-campus football stadium in the country.

Individual home and road game tickets will go on sale in early August at the LSU Ticket Office. Call 225-388-2184 for more information. LSU student tickets that were purchased through REGGIE will be available for pickup at the LSU Ticket Office on Aug. 15.
