METAIRIE, La. — Brad Cresse hit two home runs and drove in eight runs to lead LSU to a 21-6 mauling of Tulane Wednesday night at Zephyr Field. Here is the box score and play-by-play from the game.
LSU improved to 31-11 on the season with their first win over Tulane at Zephyr Field. Starter Trey Hodges earned the win and improved to 3-2 on the season.
Tulane (26-15-1) starter Barth Mulius received the loss and dropped to 3-4.
Cresse was 4-of-6 from the plate with two runs scored and eight RBI, one short of the school record set last season against Ohio University by Eric Hendrickson.
