SUNRIVER, Oreg. — The LSU Lady Tigers improved its scoring total for the second straight day and finished ninth in the NCAA Fall Preview Wednesday at the Crosswater Country Club, the first tournament of the 1999-2000 golf season.

“Overall, it was a very good showing,” said LSU Coach Karen Bahnsen said of the showing against the nation’s best. “This will do a lot for us next May when we plan to be back for the NCAA Championships. This is a good team and we can do even better and we look forward to improving more when we go to Ohio State in a little over two weeks.
Lee’s 70 gave her a 54-hole total for the Tigers of 222, 6-over par. That left her one shot away from a top-10 finish in a tie for 11th. It was her 11th career round of par or better and equals her career low round. Duncan finished alone in 19th place with an 8-over 224 on rounds of 75-76-73.
Miriam Nagl of Arizona State was the individual winner with a 5-under 211 after shooting rounds of 70-72-69.
