BATON ROUGE — First-year coach Les Miles put the Tigers through a two and a half hour workout on Saturday as the Tigers wrapped up spring drills with a 125-play scripted scrimmage before 8,233 fans in Tiger Stadium.

Opting to go with a scripted scrimmage rather than splitting the team up for a spring game, LSU spent most of the day with the first offense going as the first defense and the No. 2 offense facing the No. 2 defense. Saturday’s scrimmage saw the Tigers work in all phases of the game, including first-and-10 situations, third-and-short situations as well as third-and-long opportunities.

Russell connected 17 of 30 passes for 223 yards and four scores, while Flynn was 17 of 29 for 234 yards. Flynn threw a pair of interceptions.

Russell threw TD passes of 20 yards to Dwayne Bowe, 8-yards and 7-yards to Justin Vincent, and 8-yards to Amp Hill.
