Emerged with the team’s fastest time in the 200 freestyle and contributed in a multitude of freestyle events … Competed in every dual meet, Houston’s Cougar Classic Fall Invitational and SEC Championships … Posted a 19th-place finish in the 200 free at SEC’s with a season best of 1:39.38 … Also placed 26th in the 500 free and 33rd in the 100 free with season bests of 4:31.45 and 45.81, respectively … Swam to a ninth-place finish in the 200 free at the Cougar Classic and delivered 11th in the 500 free … Recorded third in the 1000 free in a win over Florida Atlantic … Earned his first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
A two-time regional champion in 2009 who specialized in short-distance freestyle and butterfly events … Also won a state title in the 100 free … Comes to Baton Rouge with lifetime bests of 45.34 in the 100 free and 1:39.35 in the 200 free … Also possesses a top time of 50.93 in the 100 fly … Coached by Sharon Power.
