JUNIOR SEASON (2004-05)
Arguably, the most valuable swimmer on the squad last season … A powerful butterfly and freestyle swimmer … Qualified and participated in four events for her native country of Zimbabwe at the 2005 FINA World Championships … Was the lone Lady Tiger to compete at the NCAA Championships, swimming in the 100 fly and 50 free … Placed 29th in the 100 fly prelims (54.73) and 49th in the 50 free prelims (23.45) at NCAAs … Qualified for the NCAA 100 fly at the Last Chance Meet, recording the third-fastest mark in school history (54.54) … Clocked the fourth-fastest mark in school history in the 50 free (23.23) at the SEC Championships … Member of school-record setting 200 medley relay team at the Bulldog Invitational with Lindsay Staak, Lauren Harvey and Colleen Bertirotti (1:42.15) … Took fifth (13th overall) in the consolation final of the 100 fly at SECs with a “B” cut time of 54.67 … Was LSU’s highest finisher in the 50 free at SECs, swimming a prelim time of 23.33 … Swam another “B” cut time in the consolation finals (23.40) to place seventh and 15th overall … Owned two team-high times in the 100 and 200 fly … Served as the team captain in 2004-05 … Awarded to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second straight season … Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003-04)
A steady performer in the butterfly … Was LSU’s highest finisher in the 100 fly at the SEC Championships … Swam a time of 56.96 to place 23rd in the prelims … Posted the fastest time of the season in the 100 fly, 56.18, at the Nike Cup Invitational … Swam in two relay events at SECs … Member of fifth-place 200 medley relay team (1:43.95) at SECs … Also participated in the 400 medley relay, earning sixth in the finals with a time of 3:48.72 … Both times were the top times on the season in each relay, respectively … Won the 200 medley relay versus UL-Monroe on Jan. 17 (1:49.96) … Also won the 200 medley relay against South Carolina on Nov. 17 (1:46.51) … Captured the 100 fly at Delta State on Oct. 25 (58.22) … An SEC Academic Honor Roll student in the classroom and Dean’s List member … Earned her second varsity letter.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2002-03)
Had a solid freshman season after taking a redshirt the previous year … Swam in every meet of the season … Finished 16th in the finals of the 100 butterfly at the SEC Championships with a time of 56.62 … Swam in the prelims of the 50 freestyle at SECs finishing 30th with a time of 24.18 … Set a personal best-time of 24.14 in the 50 free at the Nike Cup Invitational … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and LSU Director’s Cup … Earned her first varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2001-02)
Competed in just one meet on the season as she took a redshirt … Swam in the season opener versus Houston … Placed second in the 100 butterfly against Houston with a time of 59.54 … Also competed in the 200 freestyle relay in the season-opening meet versus Houston.
PRIOR TO LSU
Lettered all four years in swimming at Gateway High School … Named “Swimming Sports Woman of the Year” … Captain of team.
