SENIOR SEASON (2007-08)
Closed out a solid career as a distance freestyle swimmer … Her top times of 10:13.24 in the 1000-yard freestyle and 16:57.09 in the 1650 free remain standing as top-10 marks in each event’s history at LSU … Participated in every dual-meet, the Georgia Tech Invitational and the SEC Championships … Swam the 500 free in 5:05.57 to finish 32nd at the SECs … Placed fourth in the 1000 free against Georgia with a season-best mark of 10:15.58 … Captured the title in the 500 free versus Delta State with her top time on the year (5:02.23) … Tied for 2nd in the 1000 free in a dual-meet victory over No. 20 Florida State … Earned SEC Academic Honor Roll honors for the fourth straight year … Received her fourth varsity letter.
JUNIOR SEASON (2006-07)
A consistent distance freestyle swimmer who set career-bests in two events and reached the school all-time top 10 … Competed in every dual meet, the Art Adamson Invitational and the SEC Championships … LSU’s highest finisher in the 1650 free at SECs placing a career-high 14th with the seventh-fastest clocking in school history (16:57.09) … Finished 25th in the 500 free at SECs (4:59.74) … Posted a career-best 1000 free time of 10:13.24 during a quad meet against UNO, Rice and Houston … That time registered as the ninth-fastest mark in school history … Won the 1000 free versus seventh-ranked Florida State, Arkansas and Delta State … Also recorded a victory in the 500 free against Delta State … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third time in her career … Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2005-06)
A constant in distance freestyle for the second straight season … Owned LSU’s best times of the year in the 500 free (4:57.22), 1000 free (10:17.39) and 1650 free (17:06.68) … Finished 12th out of 24 swimmers in the 1650 free at the SEC Championships (17:08.99) … Placed 18th in the 500 free at SECs (4:59.90) … Won the 1000 free versus Tulane on Feb. 3 (10:20.86) … Swam a career-best time of 4:57.22 in the 500 free at the Texas A&M Invitational en route to a team-high, 11th-place finish … Won the 1000 free with a five-second cushion at No. 21 Florida State, touching the wall with a season-fast time of 10:17.39 … Captured the 500 free in the season opener versus No. 1 Auburn on Oct. 21 (5:03.92) … Received SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition … Earned her second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2004-05)
LSU’s top performer in all distance freestyle events … Put together a fantastic freshman season, etching her name into the all-time top 10 in the 1000 free (10:13.29) and 1650 free (16:59.97) … Also posted the fastest time of the season in a 22nd-place finish in the 500 free (5:01.58) at the SEC Championships … Placed 12th in the 1650 free at SECs, swimming the eighth-fastest time in school history (16:59.97) … Was also the Lady Tigers’ highest finisher in the 1000 free with the ninth-best mark in school history (10:13.29) … Swam in the 800 free relay at SECs, helping LSU finish sixth with a time of 7:29.00 … Won the 500 free at Kentucky on Jan. 10 (5:10.76) … Named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll … Earned her first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
Named MVP of her team junior through senior years … Took fourth place in the 500 freestyle at the state championships and was fifth in the 200 free at state … Owned school records in the 200 and 500 free … Member of the National Honor Society and a “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” … Coached by Kathy Piper at Richland High.
