CAREER
A steady breaststroker who not only contributed with his performance in the pool but in a number of roles outside the pool … Served as one of the team’s co-captains for the 2008-09 season … Also represented the team on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, a group that links student-athletes to the community, in both his junior and senior seasons … Named to the SEC Community Service Team for his efforts in the Baton Rouge community in his final two seasons … Ranked ninth in LSU history in the 100-yard breaststroke … Held the team’s fastest times in the 100 breast as a freshman and junior.

SENIOR SEASON (2008-09)
One of the squad’s best breaststrokers who hit his stride right in time for postseason … Tapered well for the SEC Championships and posted a top-16 finish in his best event, the 100 breaststroke for the second consecutive season … Placed 16th in that race with a time of 55.46 … Posted a personal best of 54.96 in the prelims of that event … Also swam to a 20th-place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:03.50 at SEC’s … Posted a career best in the 200 breast at the LSU Invitational with a time of 2:03.48 … Registered a time of 56.03 in the 100 breast at the same competition … Emerged victorious in a rare appearance in the 100 backstroke on Senior Day against Delta State … One of the Tigers’ co-captains for the season … Recognized by the conference as a member of the SEC Community Service Team for the second straight year.

JUNIOR SEASON (2007-08)
The team’s top performer in the 100-yard breaststroke and a vital member of the medley relay squads … Posted a career and team-best time of 55.87 in the 100 breaststroke at the SEC’s to finish 11th … Played a role on two top-six relay teams at the SEC’s … Also recorded his top time of the season in the 200 IM (1:54.64) at the conference meet … Emerged victorious in the consolation final of the 100 breaststroke (57.41) at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Secured runner-up honors in the 100 breaststroke versus No. 18 Texas A&M … Captured third in the 200 breaststroke with a career-best mark of 2:05.68 at the same meet … Part of three winning medley relay teams during the dual-meet season … Named to the SEC Community Service Team for his contributions to the LSU CHAMPS/Life Skills Program … Received his third varsity letter.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006-07)
Played a role in breaststroke events for the second straight season … Saw action in every dual meet, the Art Adamson Invitational and had his best outing at the SEC Championships … Finished 20th in the 100 breaststroke at SEC’s in a season-best 57.84 … That time registered as the second-fastest mark on the team during the year … Placed 21st in the 200 breaststroke at the same meet (2:07.99) … Earned a berth in the 100 breaststroke consolation final at the Art Adamson Invite and finished third (11th overall) in a time of 58.95 … Earned his second varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2005-06)
One of LSU’s top breaststroke swimmers and a valuable part of medley relays as a freshman … Held the team’s fastest time of the year in the 100 breaststroke (57.20) and was second on the squad in the 200 breaststroke (2:07.69) … Was LSU’s highest finisher in the 100 breaststroke at SEC’s, taking 20th and nearly qualifying for the finals (57.20) … Placed 21st in the 200 breaststroke at SEC’s (2:08.53) … Helped the Tigers to a seventh-place finish in the 400 medley relay at SEC’s with an NCAA provisional clocking of 3:16.77 … Member of winning 400 medley relay team at the Texas A&M Invitational (3:19.63) … Senior National qualifier … Earned his first varsity letter.

PRIOR TO LSU 
A three-time All-American in the 100 breaststroke and four-time state champion at Christ Church Episcopal School … Earned six letters while receiving all-state recognition four times … Was a Junior National finalist … South Carolina state champion in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke as a senior … Coached by Roger Rice and Daniel Ellis … Club swimmer for Team Greenville coached by Scott Bonine.
