JUNIOR SEASON (2005-06)
A member of LSU’s distance freestyle and butterfly corps … Saw action in every dual meet and the SEC Championships … Owned the Tigers’ third-fastest time of the season in the 200 fly (1:53.65) … Posted career-best times in both fly events at SECs … Placed 28th in the 100 fly prelims (52.61) and finished 24th in the 200 fly prelims (1:53.65) … Earned his third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2004-05)
Participated in distance freestyle and butterfly events … Swam at the SEC Championships for the second straight season … Finished 37th in the 500 free prelims at SECs with a time of 4:58.41 … Placed 22nd in the 200 fly prelims (1:55.90) and 31st in the 100 fly prelims (52.66) … Time of 52.66 in the 100 fly was a career-high … Best clocking of the season in the 500 free was 4:55.68 versus Delta State and UL-Monroe (Jan. 29) … Earned his second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2003-04)
Competed in five meets on the season and the SEC Championships … Made debut at Alabama on Oct. 24 … Also swam against South Carolina, UL-Monroe, Texas A&M and Florida State … Swam in the 50 freestyle, 100 and 200 butterfly at SECs … Placed 37th in the 50 free, 39th in the 100 fly and 25th in the 200 fly at SECs … Earned first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
Lettered four years at Salmen High School … Coached by Ed Kelly … Team captain for three years and MVP for four straight seasons … 4A state champion in the 100 butterfly in 2000 and 2001 … Also state champion in the 50 freestyle in 2002 … Junior National qualifier in the 100 fly … Member of the National Honor Society … Named to the “Who’s Who Among American High School Students” … Received the U.S. Achievement Academy Math Award.
