Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Post-Graduate Scholarship Awarded the team’s Stripes Award for outstanding work ethic in the pool, weight room and classroom … Qualified and placed 12th in the platform finals at Zones with a score of 554 … Took eighth place in the platform at SECs with a mark of 261.25 … Earned his fourth varsity letter.

JUNIOR SEASON (2005-06)

One of the Tigers talented freshman divers who gained much experience … Competed in every meet of the season, including the Georgia and Minnesota Invitationals as well as the SEC Championships … Was LSU’s highest finisher in the platform event at SECs, taking 12th place with a score of 380.55, a career-high … Was also the Tigers highest scorer in the 3-meter, finishing 19th (409.30) … Placed 21st in the 1-meter at SECs with a mark of 218.15 … Most impressive performance came on Jan. 31, winning the 3-meter in the home finale versus Florida State (287.85) … Qualified for the finals of the 1-meter at the prestigious Minnesota Invitational on Nov. 23 … Took eighth place in that event with a score of 234.95 … One of five LSU swimmers named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll … Earned his first varsity letter.
