JUNIOR SEASON (1999-2000): Competed at the Southeastern Conference Championships in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events, as well as the 50 freestyle… Placed 16th in the 100 breaststroke, 21st in the 200 breaststroke, and 30th in the 50 freestyle… Recorded the Tigers second-fastest time of the season in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.43… Finished the season with LSUs third-best time in the 200 breaststroke by swimming a 2:07.91… Member of the Tigers 200-yard freestyle relay team which recorded the seasons top time of 1:20.48… Member of the SEC Mens Swimming and Diving Academic Honor Roll with a 3.333 grade point average in mechanical engineering… Earned his third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (1998-99): Achieved the NCAA “B” standard qualifying time for the 100-yard breaststroke with a 56.25… Second on the team in the 100 breaststroke event… Senior National Qualifier in the 100 breaststroke…Member of the LSU Dean’s List… Member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll… Earned his second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (1997-98): One of five LSU freshmen to qualify for SEC competition… Competed in both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events, as well as the 100-yard breaststroke at the SEC Championships… Swam a time of 56.73 in the preliminary round of the 100-yard breaststroke event at the SEC Championships, and went on to finish in 14th place with a time of 57.56… Second on the team in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.66 at the Gulf States Senior Championships… Earned his first varsity letter.
Prior to LSU: Three-time Runnels High School team captain and Most Valuable Performer… Four-time USS State High Point Scorer… Three-time high school state champion… Two-time USS Academic All-American.
