FRESHMAN SEASON (2000-01)
Traveled to the Southeastern Conference Championships as a freshman and competed in the 200-yard butterfly event and the 200-yard individual medley competition … Recorded lifetime best marks in five different events over the course of the season … Added much- needed depth to the team in both the backstroke and individual medley events … Peer group leader for LSU’s CHAMPS lifestyle organization … Earned his first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
Named All-County and All-State for six-straight years (7th-12th grades) … Nominated team captain his last three seasons at St. Paul’s Episcopal … Finished second in the 100- yard freestyle event and fourth in the 200 yard freestyle competition at the Alabama state championship meet his senior season … Set the county record in the 100 freestyle … Won the High Point Award at the Alabama state championship meet.
