SOPHOMORE SEASON (1999-2000): Excelled in the long-distance freestyle events… Swam the Tigers fourth-fastest time of the season in the 500-yard freestyle competition… Recorded a personal-best time in the 100-yard freestyle event at the Auburn Invitational Meet with a time of 47.34… Member of the SEC Mens Swimming and Diving Academic Honor Roll by maintaining a 3.411 in kinesiology… Earned his second varsity letter.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (1998-99): Added needed depth to the Tigers freestyle long distance events… Swam the fifth-fastest time of the season in the 500-yard freestyle competition… Earned his first varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (1997-98): Redshirted.
Prior to LSU: Went undefeated in dual meets during his senior season… Greater Miami Athletic Conference Champion in both the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events… Placed seventh in the 500-yard freestyle competition and ninth in the 200-yard freestyle at the Florida high school championships… Selected to the first-team All-Dade County swimming team by the Miami Herald… Named the 1997 Swimmer of the Year and team captain for the Hurricane Seacats of the United States Swimming League.
