JUNIOR SEASON (1999-2000): Member of the Lady Tigers top 200-yard freestyle relay team of the season which recorded a time of 1:34.25… Competed at the Southeastern Conference Championships in both the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events, as well as the 100-yard butterfly competition… Placed 23rd in the 100 butterfly, 31st in the 50 freestyle, and 33rd in the 100 freestyle event… Member of the SEC Womens Swimming and Diving Academic Honor Roll by maintaining a 3.23 grade point average in zoology… Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (1998-99): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll… Earned a spot on the SEC travel team where she scored in the 100-yard butterfly competition… Improved her times drastically in each event… Scored points for the Lady Tigers in the dual meets… Earned her second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (1997-98): Added needed depth to both the freestyle and butterfly events… Played a major role for the Lady Tigers in relay competition… Earned her first varsity letter.
Prior to LSU: Senior National Qualifier in the 50-yard freestyle event… Junior National Qualifier in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly competitions… Voted Best Female High School Swimmer at Americus High School… Chosen to attend two Olympic development camps… Graduated from Americus High School with honors.
Personal: Born November 10, 1979… Parents are Robert and Judy Klein… Majoring in Zoology with a concentration in Marine Biology.
