Contributed to freestyle, backstroke and individual medley races … Competed in five dual meets and the Georgia Tech Invitational … Collected fourth-place finishes against the second-ranked Stanford Cardinal in the 200 and 500-freestyle events … Tallied a career-best clocking of 1:46.54 in the 200 free versus Alabama … Notched seventh in the 200 IM at South Carolina with his top event time of the season (2:02.65)
PRIOR TO LSU
Prepped at The Woodlands High School and was a member of a state championship team in 2004 … Texas Class 5A finalist in the 100 and 200 freestyle as a senior … Placed 12th in the 100 free and seventh in the 200 free and was part of the 200 and 400 free relays … An NCSA Junior National qualifier in the 100 and 200 free with times of 47.30 and 1:40.38, respectively … Served as high school team captain and captain for his club team … Honor student who also participated in water polo … Coached by Kent Kirchner.
