Daniel Nunes, a native of Rio de Janeiro Brazil, was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Nunes began his career as a student intern in the fall of 2003 in the LSU Athletics marketing and promotions department while attending LSU.
He received a bachelor of arts in mass communications from the LSU Manship School of Mass Communications in 2007.
In 2007, Nunes accepted a graduate assistantship in the same office where he was responsible for the marketing of the LSU soccer and gymnastics.
After completing his graduate assistantship and receiving a master of science degree in Sports Management in 2010, Nunes was hired as the Coordinator of Marketing. In addition to LSU gymnastics, Nunes served as the marketing contact for LSU’s volleyball and women’s basketball teams.
In 2012, Nunes was promoted to Director of Marketing and he is responsible for the marketing of LSU football, men’s basketball and gymnastics in addition to other responsibilities.
