Huntsville, Ala. – The LSU Beach Volleyball team will compete at the Rally Volleyball Competition in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday at John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex.
LSU will face pairs from South Carolina, Georgia State and UAB this weekend.
After a victory at the Gulf Shores Collegiate Beach Bash last weekend, LSU will look to have more success in another fall competition in preparation for the spring season.
John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex is the new home of the CCSA Tournament where the Tigers will compete at in April.
LSU is coming off its best season in program history. After reaching the NCAA Championships for a third straight season, the Tigers made it to the NCAA semifinals for the first time in program history. LSU finished the season with 31 victories and was ranked No. 3 in the final AVCA poll of the year.
With 15 players returning, including eight who recorded 15 or more victories, along with a top class of seven newcomers, LSU appears to be in good position to continue its run as one of the top teams in America.
The Tigers will be back in action for the final time this fall next weekend. On Saturday, November 8, LSU will compete at Tulane (White Sands Beach Volleyball in Elmwood, Louisiana) before it finishes the fall on Sunday with a home competition at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium
