Letter from AD Scott Woodward

  • Dear LSU Fans,

Last season we celebrated 100 years of Tiger Stadium, which brought a new collection of moments and memories that we will never forget. Whether it was electrifying performances or last-second victories, one thing was clear: this place always delivers.

Nothing beats walking into Death Valley, hearing those four notes from the Golden Band from Tigerland, and enjoying a Saturday night in one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues. It truly is a Louisiana gumbo of humanity, representing our unique culture and deeply rooted traditions.

As we kick off a new century in the Cathedral of College Football, we are thrilled to welcome you back for the 2025 season, which will feature some intriguing matchups that will surely add to the historic legacy of Tiger Stadium.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Brian Kelly, our team features an exciting blend of returning talent and new faces that will be fun to watch, with the ultimate goal of the College Football Playoff at the forefront.

Tiger fans: you are the greatest fans in the country and make Death Valley a home field advantage unlike anywhere in American sports. Your passion and pride for LSU are unmistakable, and I cannot wait to feel the energy in Tiger Stadium again this fall with all of you.

    Geaux Tigers!

    Scott Woodward
    LSU Director of Athletics
