BATON ROUGE — Tiger fans will have the opportunity to watch both of LSU’s No. 2-ranked track and field teams live next weekend as they battle the nation’s best for the right to be crowned national champions at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships beginning June 6.
The four-day meet returns to Hornet Stadium on the campus of Sacramento State University in Sacramento, Calif., for the third straight year as it is scheduled to run from June 6-9.
Coverage of the 2007 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be broadcast live by College Sports Television on June 8 from 7-10 p.m. CDT followed by the conclusion of the meet live on CBS from 12-2 p.m. on June 9.
The Lady Tigers have been the most dominant program in collegiate track and field in the last 25 years as they are seeking their 25th national championship in school history and first outdoor title since 2003, while the men’s squad will contend for its seventh national title and first outdoors since the 2002 season.
