BATON ROUGE — LSU women’s basketball assistant coach Christie Sides has resigned her position, head coach Van Chancellor announced on Friday.
“Christie met with me this week to let me know she has decided to move on,” Chancellor said. “Having coached Christie and knowing her family, I respect her decision and wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
Sides spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach for the Lady Tigers. She help guide the program to two Southeastern Conference regular season titles as well as three NCAA Final Fours.
“It was a difficult decision as I have tremendous respect for Coach Chancellor,” Sides said. “I am considering many different career opportunities and will take my time before making my next move. I will always cherish the experience I had at LSU and know that those experiences will open many doors for my professional future.”
