BATON ROUGE — LSU Marketing & Promotions won three awards at the annual convention of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators, it was announced on Friday.
LSU took home silver medals in the season ticket sales and video board segment categories and a bronze medal in the single newspaper display ad category.
LSU’s three awards tied it with Missouri for the second-most in the country behind Marquette University and the University of Notre Dame, both of which won four awards.
“We were thrilled to be recognized by our peers at NACMA for our marketing and promotional efforts from the past year, from the administrators to our student workers the creative process is a true team effort and we take pride in the final product,” said Andy Rowdon, Assistant Director of Marketing & Promotions.
LSU’s silver medal in season ticket sales was awarded for the “Centennial Seats” campaign in men’s basketball that, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the LSU men’s basketball program, offered $100 season tickets while featuring a targeted mailing of commemorative champagne flutes.
The silver medal in video board segment was awarded for the 2008 football opening video that played at the beginning of each home game in Tiger Stadium.
The bronze medal in single newspaper ad was awarded for the men’s basketball “Then & Now” advertisements that featured both past and present LSU players throughout the 100th season of men’s basketball.
The awards were presented at the 18th annual NACMA convention in Orlando, Fla., last week.
