EASTBOURNE, Great Britain — Former LSU men’s tennis player Ken Skupski and doubles partner Colin Fleming capped their performance at the AEGON International on Wednesday in the quarterfinal hosted at Devonshire Park.
Skupski and Fleming fell to third-seeded Bruno Soares and Kevin Ullyett, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 10-7. The tournament marks the second-straight time the British duo has fought into the quarterfinal bracket as Skupski and Fleming also reached the quarterfinals of the AEGON Championships hosted at the Queen’s Club last week.
The AEGON International is a tournament set to encompass some of the world’s best men’s and women’s tennis players as they make their final preparations for Wimbledon.
Skupski is currently ranked No. 138 in the world in individual doubles rankings, up 10 spots from last week’s poll. His tournament performance at Eastbourne comes days before Wimbledon announces its draw at 10 a.m. local time (4 a.m. CDT) on Friday.
