LONDON — Former LSU tennis player Ken Skupski and doubles partner Colin Fleming ended their run at the Aegon Championships hosted at the Queen’s Club on Friday.

Skupski and partner Fleming fell to Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach in a close match, 5-7, 7-6 (3), 10-7. En route to the quarterfinals the British duo overcame Andrei Pavel and Horia Tecau in the opening round of the tournament, 7-6 (3) 6-4, to set up the pair against Bob and Mike Bryan, the No. 1 doubles team in the world.

On center court, the world’s top tandem fell at the hands of Skupski and Fleming after the British duo posted a 6-4, 6-4 mark to move into the `quarterfinals.

At LSU Skupski excelled in both singles and doubles to leave as one of the most decorated players in the history of the program. The former three-time All-American holds the record for the fourth most career wins at 104 and also recorded the most doubles victories in a season at 34 with partner Mark Growcott in 2005.
