BATON ROUGE — LSU junior Brian Leveille and senior Caroline Martens were named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Teams announced for men’s and women’s golf on Wednesday.
The team salutes those student-athletes from the SEC who give back to their communities in superior service efforts.
Leveille, a business major from Basking Ridge, N.J., represents the men’s team on the LSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He has also been an active member of the Baton Rouge Restoration and Beautification Project. He has also participated in this year’s Halloween BOOzar, passing out candy to children and took part in the golf team’s Christmas Toy Drive.
Martens, a psychology major from Oslo, Norway, has worked at the LSU Halloween BOOzar and taken the lead role for the women’s golf team in the Christmas Toy Drive. She has visited Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. Martens has volunteered at “Hit The Books Running” high school visits, child care centers and the Louisiana School of Visual Impairment as well as the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association Stride and Ride events.
