BATON ROUGE — LSU climbed back into the Top 25 of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll Monday as the Tigers are No. 25 in the latest NCBWA rankings.

The Tigers (32-17 overall, 11-13 SEC) have won six of their last seven games, including a three-game sweep at Auburn last weekend. LSU has won four of its last five league series, including three series wins over teams that were ranked at the time of the series ? Arkansas, Alabama and Tennessee. Arkansas is No. 10 in this week’s NCBWA poll, while Alabama is No. 11.

LSU also owns a non-conference series victory over No. 15 Houston, and the Tigers defeated No. 17 Tulane in a single game in early March.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the ninth year with its 2006 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will continue through June 27 following the NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
