BATON ROUGE — March Madness in May gets underway Monday, giving fans a chance to buy or renew their LSU women’s basketball season tickets for the 2006-07 season.
The Lady Tigers, the 2006 SEC Champions and Final Four participant, are giving fans a chance to purchase new season tickets or renew their current ones through out the month of May. Season tickets for the 2006-07 season range from $95 to $125. Tickets are available by going to www.LSUsports.net or visiting the LSU ticket office in the Athletics Administration Building.
New ticket holders will get placed on an advance list for the best seats that becomes available. A $10 deposit holds a place on the list and will guarantee the best available ticket.
LSU is scheduled to host Tennessee, Connecticut Ohio State and Georgia during the upcoming season.
Any fan who renews or buys a new ticket will receive the Lady Tigers collector DVD that features National Player of the Year and the WNBA’s top selection Seimone Augustus.
The Lady Tigers posted a 31-4 overall record this past season and won a second straight SEC regular season title. LSU also reached the NCAA Final Four for the third straight year.
All-American center Sylvia Fowles leads the list of returning players. Fowles, a junior-to-be, is one of three starters coming back along with guard Erica White and forward Ashley Thomas.
