BATON ROUGE — The LSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is sponsoring the second annual talent show on Sunday, April 30th at 7 p.m. in the Cox Communications Center for Student-Athletes to benefit the Tigers Student-Athlete Relief Fund and the Catch 22 for Blue Foundation.
Tickets for the event are $3 in advance and $5 at the door if still available. LSU athletics teams will be selling tickets to the event, while tickets can also be purchased through the Shaquille O’Neal CHAMPS/Life Skills office at (225) 578-7402.
The doors will open to the Bo Campbell Auditorium in the Cox Communications Center at 6 p.m. on Sunday night. Acts will feature student-athletes from most of the men’s and women’s athletics teams.
The money raised this year goes will be split between the LSU Student-Athlete Relief Fund and the Catch 22 for Blue Foundation, a foundation started by Baton Rouge native, David Dellucci. Both organizations are raising money for families affected by the hurricanes that ravaged south Louisiana last fall.
Dellucci is a Texas Ranger baseball player and has donated money to the LSU training room. All of the proceeds of this foundation go to families affected by Hurricane Katrina. Catch 22 bracelets are also available for purchase from LSU student-athletes for $2.
