BATON ROUGE — LSU’s women’s basketball team, the 2006 Southeastern Conference champions and NCAA Final Four participants, was recognized by the Louisiana House of Representative and Senate on Wednesday afternoon in the State Capitol Building.

Representative Joe Salter, the Speaker of the House, recognized the Lady Tigers and head coach Pokey Chatman, while LSU Chancellor Sean O’Keefe also spoke about the team.

Senate President Donald E. Hines and O’Keefe then each recognized the team in the Senate Chambers, presenting a resolution to each player and Chatman.

LSU posted a 31-4 overall record this past season and reached the NCAA Final Four in Boston for the third straight season.
