“Lizzie was rock solid today in a very elite women’s one-meter field,” said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. “She matched her place finish of two years ago but this was much tougher. I am very proud of the way she fought today. I also thought Aimee (Wilson) was very good in the prelims but missed a little in the fifth round. At this level there is no room for error. I’m excited as we look ahead to tomorrow’s three-meter contest.”
