4:47 p.m. UPDATE: Game 3 of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional baseball tournament is in a rain delay with No. 3-seeded Rice and No. 4-seeded Texas Southern tied at 6-6 with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Earlier, the start of NCAA Baton Rouge Regional game 3 was delayed from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. by lightning in the eight-mile radius of Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field, on Saturday.
The losers’ bracket game between No. 3-seed Rice and No. 4-seed Texas Southern precedes the winners’ bracket game 4 between No. 1-seed LSU and No. 2-seed Southeastern Louisiana.
Start time for LSU-SLU will be a minimum of 55 minutes following the end of game 3 (Rice-TSU).
Both of Saturday’s games from The Box will be available at www.ESPN3.com. There will be no over-the-air television broadcast.
