BATON ROUGE – Fans coming to campus on Friday night for LSU sporting events should be prepared for larger than normal crowds and additional traffic congestion as four different sporting events will take place on campus that evening.
Over 25,000 fans are expected to be on the south side of campus where LSU will host sporting events at Alex Box Stadium, the Maravich Center, Tiger Park and the new LSU Tennis Complex.
A sellout crowd of over 12,000 is anticipated at the Maravich Center where fourth-ranked LSU hosts third-ranked Alabama in what will be Senior Night for the Tigers. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets to the gymnastics meet in advance and the “print at home” ticket feature is available for the Alabama matchup.
Doors to the Maravich Center open at 6 p.m. with team introductions slated to begin at 7:15. The general public can enter the Maravich Center through the four upper entrances and the LSU student entrance is portal J on the west side of the arena.
Fans are reminded to arrive early and that free parking is available in lots 101, 104, 105, and 401. In addition, North Stadium Road closes to vehicular traffic at 5:30 that day.
Across Nicholson Drive, LSU’s nationally-ranked baseball and softball teams will be in action. The Tiger baseball team hosts Fordham at 7 p.m. at Alex Box Stadium, while the softball team will play Memphis and Tennessee Tech in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. at Tiger Park.
The LSU men’s tennis team will play its first Southeastern Conference match in the new LSU Tennis Complex as the Tigers host Florida at 5:30 p.m. Fans going to the tennis match can park in the lot directly in front of the tennis complex off of Gourrier Drive.

Note: Alex Box Stadium will be cleared between games of the doubleheader on Saturday vs. Fordham. Fans will need a Game 8 ticket for the 2 p.m. game against Fordham and a Game 9 ticket for the 6:30 p.m. game vs. Fordham.
