BATON ROUGE, La. – Senior second baseman Jared Foster is eligible to continue to play for the LSU baseball team, effective immediately. Foster will travel with the team to Columbia, S.C., on Wednesday for its series at South Carolina.
After review of his specific circumstances and in consultation with the NCAA, Foster was cleared to participate on Tuesday evening.
Specifically, NCAA Bylaw 14.4.3.1.7.1 allows for a student-athlete enrolled in his last two semesters prior to earning a degree to use all hours earned to meet NCAA certification requirements.
Foster is scheduled to graduate from LSU in December 2015.
