BATON ROUGE – The Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes recently hired Dorothy Kemp as Learning Specialist/Tutorial Coordinator.
This position manages the tutorial support program and assists in the design and implementation of academic support plans for student-athletes, all while reporting to the Senior Associate Director for Student Learning, Dr. Audrey Phillips.
“We are ecstatic to have Ms. Dorothy Kemp join our team,” Dr. Phillips said. “Her commitment, work ethic and insight will be incredible assets to the growth of our Tutorial program. We believe that she will continue to move our program forward to better serve the needs of our student-athletes. She has incredible energy and enthusiasm for working with students, and we look forward to a positive, productive working relationship with Ms. Kemp.”
Kemp has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from LSU and has spent the past three years with the CCACSA, most recently serving as the Interim Tutorial Coordinator and as a tutor during the two years prior.
She also provides experience as the previous the Operations Manager of Forum Salon and Project Manager of Bascom Hunter, both located in Baton Rouge.
