Earlier this season, the Tiger softball program was the first female sports program to be spotlighted on the ESPNU’s 30-minute All-Access show.
LSU concluded the 2011 campaign with a 40-18 record and made its 13th NCAA Regional appearance. It also marked the 13th time in 15 seasons that the Tigers finished with at least 40 victories since softball was reinstated in 1997. LSU is slated to return 15 letterwinners for the 2012 season under first year head coach Beth Torina.
