Hey Tiger Fans,

This season has been one that I will never forget. Our team was able to pull together after a slow start in SEC play and have a great second half that included a 23-3 stretch which ensured Coach Girouard would go out as a winner. We were able to sweep No. 1 Alabama in front of a record-breaking crowd and go 14-0 against teams in the SEC Western Division which had never been done before in program history. I am so glad I was able to be apart of such a great team and play for Coach Girouard during her final season.

NCAA Regionals are always an exciting time of the year because this is what we have worked for all season. As a senior, my emotions are different than in seasons past because I know that my career is almost over. This will be the last regional I will ever play in, and I told myself on the drive over to enjoy everything this weekend because these will be some of the best moments of my life. I am going to go all out this weekend and leave everything on the field. When I am done, I want to know that I did everything I could to help my team be successful.

The team is very excited about regionals and can’t wait for Friday to get here! It’s going to be an exciting day because not only is it our first game BUT Jessica Mouse and I will be graduating from college! Our first game is at 4 p.m. against Syracuse, it’s going to be a huge game for us.

Our team mindset going into the regional is so strong. We know we have to stay confident and win one game at a time. As long as we play “Tiger Softball”, we can achieve our goal of winning regionals. Postseason can become overwhelming at times for the younger players so I try to help them by giving advice on what to expect. The upperclassmen try to remind them that regionals can be intense. They need to aim to stay focused and relaxed, and play hard the entire game.

Hope to see you this weekend in College Station!

Geaux Tigers,

Tiffany
